    More on Startup

You bring the process technology, and EPIC does the rest. Scaling systems to production size or adapting your technology to a manufacturing environment is our expertise and industrial engineering consulting services. The first stage of any project is the concept stage, provided by the client. You might start with a drawing or basic spec sheet. Whatever stage you’re at, we can help you develop PFD’s or fill-in the intermediate processing steps before moving into the design stage and developing full Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s).

Unlike other engineering consulting firms, we guarantee the most accurate bid you will receive by fully extracting your requirements, ultimately resulting in a successful project. The key to this WIN-WIN outcome is: Front End Engineering (FEE). Learn more about our non-traditional approach…

The design work that started in front-end engineering is finished during the design stage. Using our process system engineering and physical design capabilities, EPIC develops your custom modular process system for your proprietary, base process technology.

Milestones completed during design:

  • Detailed process design
  • Mechanical design
  • Structural design
  • Hardware specification

Process controls work begins concurrently during the design of your system. EPIC focuses on providing the most comprehensive solution for your manufacturing goals. EPIC has over 17 years of experience specifically providing process programming in the areas of:

  • Programming Platforms
    • Logic Programming
    • PLC Programming
    • PC-Based Programming
    • DCS Programming
    • Operator Interface and HMI programming

  • Process data collection
  • Process simulation
  • Process Instrumentation

As one of America’s leading design build firms, our on-site fabrication plant and modular approach provides a time-savings advantage complimented by production-quality fabrication. To prepare for on-site installation, our engineers manage the project, prefabrication and plant & skid construction in parallel to ensure your site is ready both internally and externally for the new system.

  • Advantages of Modular Process Systems Fabrication: Finished process plants are brought to market faster with modular process fabrication. Through parallel construction and offsite fabrication, modular fabrication reduces downtime associated with traditional construction methods.

Our project managers fully integrate and install your new modular process system into your manufacturing facility. This may include plant integration, construction management and control system programming.

  • Testing & Shipment: FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) is completed before shipment. Process systems shipped by EPIC are designed for mobility and are insured. They arrive on-site ready for installation and startup.
Batch Reaction Start-Up

Punch list resolution, plus operator and maintenance training will be completed by EPIC for your finished skid. Continuing project support is extended to all customers after project completion for troubleshooting any issues.
