Construction Site ManagementPlant Construction Management

EPIC will take complete responsibility for your project and work with you to achieve your goals. Our Modular Process Systems provide turnkey plant construction management services to prepare your plant for a new modular skid. Beyond designing, fabricating, and automating the process application, EPIC takes full responsibility for site construction to ensure a fully functional startup.

EPIC Provides Complete Plant Construction Management, Including:

  • Site upgrades
  • Bid package development and sub-contractor selection.
  • Civil and utilities installations
  • Modifications to plant facilities or infrastructure
  • Installation of pre-fabricated, mechanical equipment, machines and hardware
  • Link in-feed and out-feed equipment installation
  • Power distribution construction including conduit and wiring installation to provide power to the new production line
  • Plant system engineering, including: communication set-up between process equipment and ancillary equipment
  • Oversight by an experienced construction management team
  • Surface area grounds work, including: grading, compaction and drainage

EPIC’s onsite construction personnel prioritize safety first while working at your facility. Our field crews complete all necessary OSHA safety training. They follow FDA, ASME, and AWS guidelines along with any client imposed specifications. We provide our clients with an OSHA Form 300/300A filled out by EPIC and our EMR upon request. Field personnel are regularly screened for substances that could inhibit the practice of safe construction management.

EPIC’s Plant Construction Personnel are Prepared with:

  • Hard hats
  • Safety glasses
  • Safety shoes
  • Hearing protection
  • Protective skin coverage

Plant Integration

EPIC provides complete plant integration and plant design engineering. We understand that process systems rarely function in stand-alone environments and that new systems must fit with existing equipment and machinery inside the plant. To ensure trouble-free startup, EPIC’s integrators remain on-site to fully startup the process skid.

Control handshaking with existing equipment and processors will be set up, and if needed, custom hardware or software interfaces can be developed to facilitate the efficient exchange of data to maintain compatibility plant-wide. EPIC’s team will also prepare the plant’s existing power supply distribution to control the new process system.

EPIC’s Approach to Plant Integration Prepares for:

  • Shipping and unloading
  • Coordination of site installation
  • Lift plans
  • Structural modifications
  • Handshakes with other machinery
  • Control processor compatibility
  • Adjustments in power distribution
  • Modifications to motor control centers
  • Changes to power distribution panels
  • Custom plant conditions
  • Successful startup and support
  • Punch list resolution
  • System training
  • Continuing support
